Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the trailcar.info website (the "Site") and the rental services arranged through it (the "Service"), provided by Trailcar Mobility Ltd., registration number HE 412 889, registered in the Republic of Cyprus ("Trailcar", "we", "us"). By using the Site you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.
1. The Service
Trailcar is a mobility broker. We aggregate availability across vetted local fleet operators in the cities listed on the home page and arrange short-term passenger-car rentals on your behalf. Trailcar is not in every case the registered owner of the vehicle you receive — the rental contract for the vehicle itself is concluded between you and the local operator at hand-over.
2. Who may use the Service
You may use the Site if you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract under the laws of your jurisdiction. To complete a rental you additionally need:
- a valid driving licence, held for at least one full year prior to the rental start date;
- a passport or government-issued national ID;
- a credit or debit card in the renter's name with sufficient available balance for the security deposit;
- to meet the minimum driver age for the chosen category (21 for Economy, 25 for Premium / Luxury / SUV; higher in certain cities).
3. Booking process
Booking enquiries submitted on the Site are non-binding. A rental is only confirmed once (a) a Trailcar dispatcher has communicated the final price, vehicle and delivery details to you in writing, and (b) you have explicitly accepted those details. Until both conditions are met, no contract for the rental exists.
4. Pricing and payment
Indicative "from" prices shown on the Site are for the lowest-trim model in the category, in the lowest-cost city, with seven-day rentals. The price applicable to your booking is the one confirmed by the dispatcher and depends on the city, season, duration, mileage allowance, optional add-ons (additional driver, child seat, cross-border permit, chauffeur), insurance level and any local taxes or airport fees.
Accepted payment methods (card on hand-over, bank transfer, USDT) are confirmed during the booking conversation. Trailcar does not collect payment through the Site itself. A refundable security deposit is held on a credit card at hand-over and released within seven business days of return.
5. Cancellation and changes
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pick-up.
- Within 48 hours of pick-up, a 30% fee applies.
- No-show forfeits the deposit.
- Force-majeure cases (cancelled flight, refused visa, medical emergency with supporting evidence) are reviewed individually and resolved at our reasonable discretion.
6. Use of the vehicle
You agree that the vehicle will not be used to: transport passengers for hire, tow another vehicle, take part in motorsport or speed events, leave the agreed country of operation without prior written permission, or be driven by a person not registered as a driver on the rental agreement. Any traffic, parking or toll-road fines incurred during the rental remain your responsibility and may be charged back against your deposit together with an administration fee.
7. Intellectual property
The Site, including its layout, text, photography and brand marks, is the property of Trailcar Mobility Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and share the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use — scraping, mirroring, training of machine-learning models, or creation of derivative works — requires our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we make every reasonable effort to keep it accurate and operational, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, free from harmful components, or that any information on it is exhaustive. Prices, availability and vehicle specifications are confirmed in the dispatcher conversation; nothing on the Site constitutes a binding offer.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trailcar Mobility Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with use of the Site or the Service, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Our aggregate liability in respect of any confirmed rental is limited to the total amount paid by you for that rental.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or for any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Trailcar harmless against any claim, loss or expense arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Site, or any unlawful act committed by you during the rental.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, decline a booking enquiry, or cancel a confirmed booking, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these terms, attempted to defraud Trailcar or a fleet partner, provided false documentation, or behaved in a way that endangers staff or property.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms or your use of the Service will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nicosia, Cyprus, unless a mandatory rule of consumer protection in your country of residence provides otherwise.
Before initiating court proceedings, the parties undertake to attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith by writing to legal@trailcar.info. We aim to respond within 14 days.
13. Changes to the terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the home page for at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the version currently in force.
