This page explains what cookies and similar local-storage technologies trailcar.info uses, what each one is for, how long it persists, and how you can disable or remove them. This page should be read together with our privacy policy.
1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognise your browser on subsequent visits, remember your preferences and measure how the site is used. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels) are treated as cookies for the purposes of this policy.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function. Cannot be switched off in our cookie banner. We use them to remember that you have accepted the banner, to keep the booking form working after page refresh, and to mitigate fraudulent or automated traffic.
Functional
Remember your in-session preferences such as the chosen vehicle category or last-used city. They make the site more comfortable but are not strictly required.
Analytics
Measure how visitors arrive at the site and how they navigate it. We use Google Analytics 4 in aggregated, IP-anonymised mode. Data is stored for a maximum of 14 months and is never used to build personal profiles. These cookies fire only after you accept analytics in the banner.
Advertising
Allow us to measure the effectiveness of our Google Ads campaigns and to show our own ads to people who previously visited the site. These cookies fire only after you accept advertising in the banner. Trailcar does not share data with third-party ad networks beyond Google.

4. How to manage cookies

5. Google Consent Mode v2
This site implements Google Consent Mode v2. Until you actively grant consent, no analytics or advertising data is sent to Google. If you do not grant consent, Google may still receive cookieless pings (URL, timestamp, country) used purely to model aggregate site traffic — these pings do not contain personal identifiers.
6. Updates
If we add a new cookie or change the purpose of an existing one, this page will be updated and the banner will be re-shown so that you can review your choices.
